We couldn't handle Day Shift

Jamie Foxx stars as Dave Franco and Jamie Foxx is the star of "Day Shift", a new movie about vampire hunting. The movie tells the story of a blue collar dad trying to provide a better life for his young daughter. However, his routine job in San Fernando Valley pool cleaning is a disguise for his true income, hunting down and killing vampires as part of an International Union of Viper Hunters.

The premise sounds fun, but can director J.J. Perry deliver?

Jamie Foxx is seen shooting at a woman who turns out to have been a vampire in the opening scene of "Day Shift". This then leads to a wild fight between them. This movie has a great deal of fun with rag-doll action scenes. It makes those scenes pop in a different way than many of the action blockbusters or Netflix movies. It's easy not to think about the old saying, "action speaks Louder than words". I believe that Day Shift is able to successfully use dialogue and action to help the plot and character growth. Jamie Foxx's villain, the vampire, is killed. His partner has a hilarious exchange about how he thought she was going "to turn into a bat, or something". These moments are what make "Day Shift" stand out from other similar films.

Day Shift is another fun, non-serious film that I felt like I could genuinely enjoy the whole way through. I found it entertaining and not too complicated. It featured great action and was unique. It had humor, and I was able to laugh out loud quite a bit. It also drew inspiration from the brilliant vampire films Blade and Lost Boys, two of my all-time favorite films. The acting was excellent, the directing was fantastic and the cinematography was very good. Day Shift, The Jaime Foxx vampire movie a movie that is both enjoyable and not too serious, is worth a look. It's a lot fun.

Day Shift was mixed. There are some great action scenes and fun characters (the brothers and Seth), but the villain is terrible and there are a lot more mediocre characters. However, that makes Day Shift even more enjoyable. There appeared to be scenes missing from the film. Bud's neighbor acts like she is a friend even though they only had about 3 minutes each before the final scene. Bud started making prank phone call after she got to work at the gas station. This was the best part of the movie. It was hilarious and it was so much fun to watch. The movie's rest was not as enjoyable. Day Shift is mixed. There are parts that are fantastic and others that are horrible. However, if you want to have some fun, there are better movies than this one.

Snoop Dogg makes this movie well worth it. Snoop Dogg is loved by everyone. He's the definition of cool.
